Later on running two successful rounds, "Arisan Karya" (artwork raffle) of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (Museum MACAN) is returning this calendar month for its third and concluding edition.
To be held from July 28 to Aug. 2, the terminal iteration of Arisan Karya is to feature up to 150 works of art for the taking, selected from an open up telephone call for artists that ran on July xvi-19.
The two prior editions of the fine art raffle featured a total of 209 artists selected from over 1,000 who participated in the open up call, and included both established and upward-and-coming artists similar Tisna Sanjaya, Melati Suryodarmo and Ika Vantiani.
People interested in taking part in the art raffle can buy a numbered coupon atshop.museummacan.org for Rp 1 one thousand thousand (US$68). The actual raffle will exist held on Aug. 3 via Instagram Live.
But speed is key, as the two previous rounds sold out in the beginning hour of sales.
The majority of the gain will go to the artists, with a pct going to art managers who assisted as regional coordinators in running the result. A split up percentage of the gain will go to artists of the "MACAN At Home" initiative for developing an online arts plan.
Museum MACAN director Aaron Seeto said in a statement that the diversity of talent, ideas and approaches were Arisan Karya'south strengths.
"Arisan Karya has been a platform of discovery, with emerging artists presented alongside some of the most recognizable names in Indonesia's contemporary art scene. This is exactly what we had in mind when we started Arisan Karya. We wanted to start a chain of support within arts communities," he said
Museum MACAN has collaborated on the concluding edition of Arisan Karya with smartphone brand OPPO, which will exist represented in three commissioned pieces by Bagus Pandega, Patricia Untario and Etza Meisyara.

The three young artists have the same alma mater, the Bandung Constitute of Technology, but their artistic styles are every bit different as they come.
Bagus has exhibited across the world, the latest being the Condo London 2020 at the Project Native Informant in the get-go calendar month of the year. Meanwhile, Etza derives her fine art from her emotional journey while traveling through nature. Bridging installation, operation art and sound fine art, her works explore human relationships in stories illustrated through her materials.
The three artists were tasked with creating art infused with engineering, and were provided with OPPO Find X2 smartphones for the commissioned pieces. The artwork are also function of the final raffle and three lucky coupon holders will win them during the livestreamed result on Aug. 3.
